wrapping up winter

well, it's just about april and i haven't made any entries in, ..... well, forever. it's been an eventful winter of winds, rain, roofs being torn off the upper greenhouse (repeatedly), rain, slow progress on the barn floor and walls and rain. pictures just don't do it justice, so i'm not going to worry about it. better to remember last year's tomatoes......

Late season greens ...

Rebuild of the 110 Year Old Barn.

After last winter's snows collapsed the roof of the original barn, we get to do a complete rebuild and restoration.

The spa.....

I had no desire to spend money on a big hulking spa with the jacuzzi jets and computer controlled electric heaters and pumps.

My solution was pretty simple (see the picture) and perfectly placed next to the river.

In the tradition of the Finnish sauna, I start a fire under the tub and enjoy a good soak.
