Fred, are you doing all this work yourself? Also, what are you using for the roof material and the support structure underneath. It all is looking great and glad you are putting it together. You are going to have some great tomatoes in there and how long a season do you expect to have? Thanks, Tim
Here's a photo of the farm taken around 1910. As a chef, I learned about the flavor and tastes of quality homegrown produce. However, it was nearly impossible to get the good stuff for my customers so I moved here in 2003 after I sold my restaurant and set out to grow and share the food I wanted to eat myself.
In the hothouse, we have: Heirloom tomatoes Cucumbers Peppers and Chilis Lettuces Eggplant Tomatillos Cherry tomatoes Arugula Herbs...
In the gardens, we have: Broccoli Broccoli Raab Carrots Cauliflower Asian greens Peas (if the elk don't get them first) Green Beans Leeks Onions Kale Garlic Squash Fava beans Asparagus Spinach Rhubarb Berries (Raspberries, Strawberries, Marionberries) Artichokes Beets Potatoes (Ask about the purple ones)
